About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead AssetMark's enterprise events function and oversee the event portfolio, planning framework, operational processes, and execution standards
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of event leads
  • Establish roles, responsibilities, accountability, standardized processes, templates, project plans, and operating rhythms
  • Lead portfolio prioritization and resource planning across the event calendar
  • Drive project management discipline, including milestones, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications
  • Partner with Creative, Marketing, Sales, Product, Executive Leadership, Finance, Procurement, Brand, and Experience Design teams
  • Align event strategy, attendee experience, brand expression, messaging, and environmental design
  • Own the annual corporate events budget across marquee, series, and sponsored events
  • Develop budget planning, forecasting, tracking, and reporting processes
  • Monitor event investments, optimize costs, negotiate efficiencies, and maximize return on investment
  • Establish portfolio-level reporting measuring event performance, attendee outcomes, budget utilization, and business impact
  • Develop strategic relationships with agencies, production partners, venues, and key vendors
  • Evaluate vendor selection, contract strategy, and partner performance
  • Collaborate with Procurement to optimize sourcing strategies and vendor partnerships
  • Improve team operations through retrospective reviews, process optimization, and knowledge sharing

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience leading corporate events, experiential marketing, or event operations
  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Experience managing enterprise event portfolios, including marquee conferences, executive meetings, and sponsored industry events
  • Experience managing complex budgets and partnering with Finance and Procurement
  • Demonstrated experience leading an enterprise corporate events function and managing a diverse portfolio of large-scale events
  • Proven ability to build scalable operational processes and lead organizational change
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million-dollar event budgets, forecasting, and portfolio reporting
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
  • Experience partnering closely with the Brand team to deliver cohesive attendee experiences
  • Executive presence with outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Data-driven decision-maker who uses event metrics and business outcomes to guide continuous improvement
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management experience
  • Experience with project management platforms (Wrike or similar) and CRM/event technologies
  • Financial services experience preferred
  • CMP certification preferred
  • Active participation in industry associations is a plus
  • Approximately 30% travel is required to support key events throughout the year
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US
  • Visa sponsorship is unavailable
