About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in structured corporate internship programming, including orientation, workshops, networking events, research projects, networking events, and professional development activities
  • Support the Financial Intelligence Department by helping identify, investigate, and mitigate financial crime risks impacting the bank
  • Review fraud alerts and investigate check fraud, new account fraud, and other financial crime activity
  • Contact customers when appropriate and assist with account restrictions, resolutions, and fraud-related workflows
  • Support daily fraud monitoring activities
  • Contribute to special projects, process improvement initiatives, and department support tasks
  • Collaborate with Fraud Analysts, Fraud Leads, and team members in team communications, schedules, and operational workflows
  • Develop investigative and analytical skills using fraud detection, research, and risk mitigation processes
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and confidentiality guidelines
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's Degree student with sophomore, junior, or senior standing at the time of internship start date; must not have graduated prior to internship start date
  • Analytical thinking
  • Attention to detail
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and confidentiality guidelines
  • Successful completion of a thorough background check
  • Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act
  • Must directly represent yourself and your own experiences during the recruiting and hiring process
