About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and monitor a portfolio of private banking, commercial, and commercial real estate relationships
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow, collateral, and repayment sources to evaluate loan requests and recommend credit structures
- Prepare credit presentations and underwriting recommendations for new and existing borrowing relationships
- Develop financial analyses, profitability assessments, and lending recommendations for prospective and current client opportunities
- Oversee portfolio monitoring, including annual reviews, risk rating assessments, loan renewals, and covenant compliance
- Partner with relationship managers, credit teams, and business partners to address portfolio needs and resolve credit issues
- Track and report portfolio metrics, including loan maturities, documentation exceptions, financial reporting requirements, and past due accounts
- Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships through additional banking and financial services
- Maintain a strong presence within the community and marketplace
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of private banking or commercial banking experience with credit knowledge
- Access to reliable transportation and the ability to lawfully drive, if applicable
- Fully complies with all applicable enterprise policies and procedures
- Acts in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act
- Responsible for reporting suspicious activity to Financial Intelligence
- Responsible to report all customer complaints and procedure violations to management or HR
- Responsible to report ethical concerns as needed to Associated Bank’s anonymous Ethics Hotline
