About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide management accounting services for Group Financing Companies and Treasury-related activities
Liaise with the Treasury Operations Manager to ensure accurate and timely confirmation, documentation and accounting of investments, debt, swaps and FX transactions
Review and post derivative valuations and SAP-to-treasury-system reconciliations
Produce monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounting returns for Financing Companies
Review intercompany balances and calculate and post fair-value consolidation adjustments for PPE
Liaise with the Taxation Manager to obtain and post monthly tax charges
Produce monthly Board Report sections covering Balance Sheet, Cashflow and Capital Expenditure
Calculate, review and post half-year and year-end intercompany eliminations at all consolidation levels
Prepare and post half-year and year-end tax journals
Prepare treasury disclosures for half-year and year-end statutory reporting and manage year-end treasury matters with auditors

Requirements

What you’ll need

Qualified accountant
Strong technical capability
Results-focused attitude and ability to manage own time to meet deadlines while maintaining quality
Experience preparing management reports with useful management information and commentary
Ability to solve problems with pragmatic solutions
Understanding of simple derivative financial instruments and their accounting
Experience reviewing and analyzing complex balance sheets and cash flow statements, including variance drivers
Understanding of capital expenditure reporting and key variance drivers
Understanding of consolidation adjustments, their causes and impacts
Project management skills and ability to deliver on time and to budget
SAP experience (ideal)
Detailed understanding of valuing financial instruments and derivatives, balance-sheet impact and accounting (ideal)
Experience using a treasury management system (ideal)
Must complete pre-employment screening to BPSS
Must consent to random substance-abuse screening and complete a medical before starting
