About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assess the financial performance of the organization's program budgets and provide regular updates, insights, and actionable recommendations to executive leadership
  • Oversee profit and loss status of operations and strategize with leadership to improve bottom-line performance
  • Lead and supervise staff completing business planning activities across the company's portfolio
  • Manage budgeting, submission, and business planning processes for new funding submissions
  • Forecast workforce activity and manage cost projections, identifying overages or deficits and providing scenario-based guidance
  • Refine practices for generating revenue through external contracts
  • Guide programmatic teams to ensure project activities comply with federal rules and regulations, add value, and contribute to organizational revenue
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives supporting the organization's long-term financial health
  • Develop and enhance ERP systems, including customized reports, dashboards, and improved data visualization
  • Drive process improvements and develop SOPs to improve operational efficiency and comply with audit and funder requirements
  • Supervise Program Operations staff, coordinate priorities and workloads, and ensure timely delivery of financial and operational support
  • Partner with the Senior Director, Program Operations, Finance, Grants and Contracts, and program leadership to identify financial risks and opportunities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's Degree in related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of prior experience administering grants
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage teams and complex projects
  • Extensive experience in financial management, business planning, and budgeting
  • Expertise in ERP systems and data visualization tools
  • Track record of improving revenue generation and bottom-line performance
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of federal grants administration, including familiarity with OMB Uniform Grant Guidance and experience using Grants.gov preferred
  • Knowledge of HHS cooperative agreement regulations and guidelines preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel
