About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails and modern development practices
Build and integrate secure, reliable, and high-performance RESTful APIs
Design, manage, and optimize PostgreSQL databases and work with NoSQL solutions such as MongoDB and Redis
Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance, scalability, and stability
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to define requirements and deliver high-quality features
Own features end-to-end, ensuring integration across components and teams
Develop fast, reliable, risk-based tests and validate cross-team integrations
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering standards
Contribute to architectural discussions, technical decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives
Participate in code reviews and help establish engineering best practices
Stay current with Ruby, JavaScript, and cloud technologies, recommending improvements and optimizations

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails
Strong Ruby programming skills and experience developing scalable web applications
Proficiency in JavaScript and experience with frontend frameworks such as Vue.js, React.js, or Angular
Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database design, management, and optimization
Experience with PostgreSQL and/or NoSQL data storage solutions
Experience designing, developing, consuming, and integrating RESTful APIs
Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Familiarity with application debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
Advanced English proficiency
