About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Organize, label, and maintain deal files, virtual data rooms, and transaction trackers with accurate filing and version control
- Assist with preparing, formatting, and proofreading presentations, deal summaries, board materials, and Corporate Development deliverables
- Track due diligence request lists and follow up with internal stakeholders on outstanding items and deadlines
- Take notes during internal working sessions and distribute action items and follow-ups
- Maintain confidentiality logs, NDA tracking, and records of executed transaction documents
- Conduct basic research on telecommunications companies, industry trends, and market data
- Assist with financial model templates, comparable company lists, and precedent transaction summaries
- Compile competitor and target company profiles, industry benchmarking data, and market sizing inputs
- Support data validation and updates in valuation and deal-tracking spreadsheets
- Maintain deal trackers and pipeline reporting logs
- Perform general administrative duties, including travel coordination and ad hoc project support
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Pre-Law, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Prior internship, part-time office, or coursework experience involving business, finance, financial modeling, or administrative work is a plus
- Coursework or demonstrated interest in corporate finance, M&A, investment banking, or the telecommunications industry
- Prior internship, work-study, or student organization experience involving administrative, research, or project coordination work
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Basic understanding of financial statements and valuation concepts
- Strong discretion and professionalism when handling confidential and market-sensitive information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small, fast-paced, cross-functional team and take direction proactively
- Strong time-management skills and flexibility to balance a 20-hour weekly schedule around academic coursework
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
- Ability to work in a standard office environment and use a computer for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to commit to a consistent weekly schedule of approximately 20 hours, primarily during standard business hours
