About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to department heads and managers on talent management, employee relations, and HR best practices
- Collaborate with department leaders to develop and implement performance review processes, including 9-box, development plans, and annual reviews
- Conduct regular performance review meetings and facilitate performance improvement and goal-setting discussions
- Address employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances
- Partner with assigned departments to understand HR needs and develop tailored solutions
- Educate, coach, and partner with managers on talent management and employee development goals
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations related to performance management, employee relations, and other HR functions
- Act as a mediator and advocate for employees on workplace issues
- Collaborate with the HR team on employee engagement, talent development, and succession planning initiatives
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions to improve HR effectiveness
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on performance management and employee relations
- Experience working with health services departments or within the healthcare industry is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing HR challenges
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
- Master’s degree preferred
