About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead communication and coordination across global subsidiaries on software budget and procurement, cybersecurity intelligence, and Global Information Security Committee initiatives
  • Provide security expertise on subsidiary reporting, including audits and incident reports
  • Contribute expertise to strategic global security initiatives and cybersecurity governance
  • Support the Global IT & Security Team with other duties as required
  • Coordinate implementation and operation of the governance framework across all entities
  • Coordinate cross-entity cyber oversight activities
  • Provide technical expertise on entity reporting
  • Support the broader security oversight function
  • Work closely with subsidiaries’ IT & Security managers to synchronize IT and security controls

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 years of professional experience working in cyber security & IT risk related fields
  • Technical proficiency in security incident response, penetration testing, cloud security, and IT systems
  • Knowledge of ISO27001 / NIST CSF or experience operating an ISMS framework
  • Passion for cybersecurity and keeping up to date with the latest cyber threats, technologies and trends
  • Very strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills
  • Strong business-level written and verbal communication capabilities in English and Japanese
  • Ability to read and comprehend regulatory documentation in English and Japanese and write internal documents
  • Degree-level educated or similar experience, ideally within technical disciplines
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of enterprise-level security concepts such as Zero Trust, Shift Left, and In-depth Security
  • Knowledge of ITIL and best-practice frameworks for corporate IT operations
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, SSCP, or GIAC
  • Project management certifications such as PMP
  • Experience working for the head office of a global organization
