About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, support, and/or oversee assessment and remediation of hazardous waste- and petroleum-impacted sites
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert on environmental concepts, regulatory requirements, and remediation technologies
  • Develop and review technical documents for CERCLA, Brownfields, and State-led site investigations and remedial action plan processes
  • Support risk assessments, remedial investigation/feasibility studies, long-term monitoring reports, and workplans
  • Provide technical support and oversight for environmental investigations and site characterization, including planning, implementation, analysis, and reporting
  • Prepare, review, and deliver technical reports, regulatory submittals, and contract deliverables
  • Analyze environmental data to delineate the nature and extent of contamination
  • Coordinate with state and federal agencies to meet project objectives and timelines
  • Develop project scopes of work, task orders, and cost estimates
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and technical teams
  • Support marketing and business development in environmental services
  • Serve as a client-facing technical and project lead for federal stakeholders
  • Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance and professional development
  • Support multiple Federal projects across the US, including monitoring and remediation contracts, PFAS investigations and remediation, and technical writing of reports and proposals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum ten (10) years of total professional work experience
  • Minimum three years’ experience providing technical guidance on environmental projects
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study
  • Experience executing Federal Department of Defense projects under CERCLA or RCRA
  • Previous project management or task management experience preferred
  • Related certificate or license preferred but not required, such as PMP, PE, or PG certification/license
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience working under detailed quality assurance/quality control programs
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and other MS Office applications
  • Proficiency with common field equipment and sampling techniques
  • Experience developing and/or technically reviewing site assessments, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, and other technical reports
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to travel periodically for site visits and meetings
  • Valid driver's license
  • 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Training under 29 CFR 1910.120 with current 8-hour refresher training
