About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and deliver data analytics and visualisation solutions for clients
- Integrate data analytics best practices into client processes and decision-making
- Identify, define and deliver self-service analytics solutions, dashboards and actionable reports
- Handle, merge, clean and transform multi-source data
- Apply statistical investigation, data analysis and visualisation techniques
- Design and implement intuitive, consistent and user-focused data visualisations
- Work in agile delivery environments through requirements gathering, user stories, prototyping, demonstrations and iterative feedback
- Deliver projects end-to-end from requirements definition through implementation, testing, documentation, end-user training and handover
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across experience and seniority levels
- Contribute to project delivery decisions and measurable client outcomes
- Develop analytics capabilities, solutions and methodologies with peers
- Communicate and promote analytical insights and solutions to peers and clients
- Support junior colleagues through mentoring and potential line management
- Develop data analysis and visualisation skills through training, mentoring and hands-on delivery
- Participate in client engagement, conferences, research and thought leadership activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Professional experience working in a data analytics or related role
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insight
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working in a project environment
- Experience gathering requirements with business users
- Experience with unit, system and integration testing cycles
- Consultative mindset and strong commercial acumen
- Experience using data visualisation tools, preferably Microsoft Power BI, or Tableau, Qlik or Looker
- Experience with SQL, Python, DAX, Power Query, NoSQL, Azure Data Factory or similar technologies
- Proven experience owning or contributing to end-to-end analytics solutions, including roadmap definition, documentation, training and handover
- Confidence working in agile or iterative delivery environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, report writing and presentation of insights
- Security clearance may be required; relevant clearance depends on obtaining the required level
- Candidates may need to provide proof of UK residency for 5 years or longer for security vetting
