About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver multi-disciplinary projects from concept through to construction
- Deliver projects to agreed programme, budget and quality targets
- Identify and agree project objectives with the Design Director and develop delivery strategies
- Identify, escalate and manage contractual and commercial risks with the Project Director
- Lead, build, motivate, coach, guide and develop the project team
- Prioritise safety throughout project delivery
- Facilitate communication, coordination and information flow with the Client, project team, subcontractors and partners
- Assemble and own the project delivery programme and delivery plans
- Close out projects, update market information, capture and disseminate lessons learned, and initiate Client Satisfaction surveys
Requirements
What you’ll need- Chartered Engineer/Architect or equivalent
- Experience managing design commissions on large infrastructure projects
- Experience across a range of construction projects
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage and motivate a team and demonstrate good leadership qualities
- Understanding and experience deploying construction contracts, particularly NEC3/NEC4
- Experience preparing Scope Definition papers, Project Execution Plans, Risk Registers, Change Control Logs and Client & Stakeholder Management plans
- Experience managing design projects to time, cost and quality objectives
- Familiarity with programming and earned value techniques
- Familiarity with BIM
- Understanding of 3D modelling tools for design and coordination and associated information attributes
- Excellent client relationship management skills
- May require relevant security clearance
- May require proof of residency in the UK for 5 years or longer
