About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the growth and delivery of fire protection and life safety projects across Eastern Canada
  • Provide leadership and support development of priority markets for the Eastern Canada Fire Protection team
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Lead or support strategic proposal preparation, client presentations, interviews, and negotiations
  • Ensure seamless transition from project award through execution
  • Mentor team members and support professional development
  • Plan resources and coordinate priorities with project teams
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, high-performing work environment
  • Act as technical expert, practice leader, or project manager on complex assignments
  • Oversee design and integration of fire protection and life safety systems
  • Ensure quality, compliance, and constructability of technical deliverables
  • Drive quality, cost control, schedule performance, and risk management
  • Contribute to business planning and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support business objectives and client satisfaction targets
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Canada and support inter-regional proposals and projects
  • Contribute to the growth and visibility of the national Fire Protection Community of Practice

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Building Systems Engineering preferred)
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) and member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant consulting engineering experience in fire protection engineering, life safety, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian fire protection codes and standards, including NFPA, ULC, building codes, and fire codes
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, support employee development, and foster a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Proven business development skills, including the ability to build client relationships, identify opportunities, and support the growth of a professional practice
  • Experience managing complex multidisciplinary projects while ensuring quality, compliance, and client satisfaction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
  • Knowledge of English required for collaboration with Canadian or global leadership team members outside Québec
