About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Install, test, commission, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, DX units, VRF/VRV systems, split and packaged units, and exhaust/fresh air systems
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to schedules
Diagnose system faults and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues
Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
Conduct refrigerant charging, pressure testing, vacuuming, and leak detection properly
Monitor system performance and recommend efficiency improvements
Ensure compliance with HSE standards, local codes, and project quality requirements
Maintain service reports, maintenance logs, and records
Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades
Respond to emergency breakdowns when required

Requirements

What you’ll need

Diploma/ITI in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or equivalent
Minimum 3–7 years of hands-on HVAC experience (project/facilities-based)
Strong knowledge of HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control systems
Experience in GCC/UAE projects preferred
Familiarity with international standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, CIBSE) preferred
Knowledge of HVAC installation, testing, and commissioning
Experience with preventive and breakdown maintenance
Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of refrigerants and handling procedures
Ability to work from drawings and method statements
Basic electrical and control panel knowledge
Good communication and teamwork skills
