About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage relationships with client project teams to provide ongoing risk management support
  • Collaborate with client project teams to understand projects and analyze scope, schedule, and estimate documentation
  • Facilitate risk management workshops and maintain appropriate discussion records
  • Enter data and run schedule modeling software, with Safran as the preferred tool
  • Prepare presentations, executive summaries, and comprehensive project reports using standard templates and preliminary content
  • Perform quality assurance reviews on documentation before client submission
  • Use @Risk to generate cost modeling insights and develop modeling scenarios
  • Prepare risk-related content for RFPs and maintain internal risk management training materials
  • Support internal project risk management and advise on strategies for projects and proposals
  • Maintain and update internal processes, procedures, and work instructions
  • Generate external client business opportunities in risk management
  • Manage multiple project workloads and prioritize effectively
  • Conduct workshops virtually or travel to client sites as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in engineering, construction, or a related field, combined with relevant experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a design/construction environment, including at least 5 years of experience in risk modeling
  • Ability to analyze MS Project and Primavera P6 schedules and recreate high-level schedules for modeling purposes
  • Ability to analyze cost information, typically in Excel, to classify project costs and extract contingencies
  • Strong understanding of AACE estimate classes and their implications
  • Proficiency in risk modeling software, with @Risk being essential
  • Knowledge of risk management software, including Safran, PRC, and ARM, preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6; ability to build projects from scratch is essential
  • Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic environment while balancing and prioritizing workloads
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
