About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams across the UK and Europe
  • Deliver complex projects throughout the project lifecycle
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, to programme, within cost, and to a high level of quality
  • Build relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Develop and agree budgets and manage forecast and actual costs
  • Lead and facilitate the cross-functional, multidisciplinary project team
  • Monitor and apply performance management techniques, including KPIs
  • Manage project objectives in line with safety, cost, programme, and quality objectives
  • Ensure project resources are competent, efficiently mobilised, and well supported
  • Prepare and communicate clear project updates
  • Facilitate cross-functional teamwork and knowledge-sharing
  • Proactively manage project risks
  • Identify and monitor Health & Safety and Environmental risks and implement mitigations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in a project management role delivering multi-disciplinary engineering projects
  • Recent experience successfully delivering in an EPCM environment
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects in a highly regulated or energy-related industry
  • Experience in Power Grids transmission and distribution, conventional power, oil and gas, chemicals, renewables, or large-scale infrastructure
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues and motivate diverse teams
  • High degree of commercial acumen
  • Knowledge of project planning and project controls
  • Ability to manage project budgets, resources, and schedules
  • Sound judgement in risk management, planning, and project controls
  • Safety-focused approach to health, safety, and risk management
  • Ability to articulate key project delivery risks
  • Understanding of the Designer and Principal Designer or Principal Contractor roles under CDM
  • Experience working with standard contract models and contributing to innovative commercial approaches
  • Role may require security clearance
  • If security clearance is required, candidates may need to provide proof of UK residency for 5 years or longer
