About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Shape the nuclear safety case strategy
- Collaborate with diverse customers and stakeholders to deliver engineering solutions
- Contribute to complex project proposals and new business opportunities
- Provide engineering support for design, construction, and maintenance of defence platforms and infrastructure
- Forecast, monitor, and report on engineering performance
- Identify and mitigate technical and project risks
- Work with project partners to ensure safety-informed design
- Undertake safety assessments and safety analysis
- Produce safety reports and other technical documents
- Manage and lead safety case activities and teams
- Deliver safety case support, leadership, and activities across Australian defence-related programs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven track record in safety, ideally within the defence and nuclear domains
- Hold or eligible to obtain Australian Government security clearance
- Good understanding of the Australian government defence ecosystem
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to write concisely
