About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain technical quality standards
- Deliver projects on time and within budget
- Liaise with Canada-based customers in a responsive and client-focused manner
- Work on multidisciplinary offshore-executed infrastructure projects from the Bengaluru office
- Provide professional bridge engineering design services to clients
- Lead a small team and provide technical direction to BIM technicians
- Coordinate with various engineering disciplines
- Prepare technical reports, design calculations, specifications, and related documentation
- Mentor and guide junior engineers
- Review and check junior team members’ work for technical quality and compliance
- Build effective working relationships with colleagues and clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in engineering consultancy, with a strong focus on bridge engineering and associated civil structures
- Experience across preliminary, concept, and detailed design stages of infrastructure projects
- Proficient in structural analysis and design software such as CSiBridge and MIDAS
- Experience designing and analysing reinforced concrete bridges, prestressed concrete bridges, structural steel bridges, and composite structures
- Strong understanding of Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI)
- Experience with seismic analysis and design, including Response Spectrum Analysis, Non-linear Static (Pushover) Analysis, and Time History Analysis
- Ability to interpret and utilise inputs from highway/rail alignments, drainage and utility drawings, landscape schemes, hydrological studies, and geotechnical investigation reports
- Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments and coordinating with various engineering disciplines
- Ability to provide technical direction and design inputs to BIM technicians
- Experience preparing technical reports, design calculations, specifications, and related documentation
- Familiarity with quality management systems, standards, and project procedures
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers
- Ability to review and check junior team members’ work for technical quality and compliance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Self-motivated and ambitious
- Ability to lead a small team
- Should initiate professional accreditation with Canada (P.Eng.) or UK (CEng)
- Ability to adapt to different cultures and working environments
