About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support delivery of strategic advisory and technical sustainability solutions for buildings, masterplans, mixed-use developments, and large-scale community projects.
  • Deliver sustainability certifications and framework projects from preconcept through detailed design and procurement.
  • Convey sustainability certification programs and client requirements to project teams, ensuring alignment and progress tracking.
  • Lead and manage LEED, WELL, Estidama, and Al Sa’fat certification processes, including documentation preparation and submission.
  • Deliver whole-building/asset LCAs and embodied carbon studies; model scenarios, benchmark options, and generate client-ready insights and visuals.
  • Manage LCA-focused sustainability projects and ensure timely, high-quality outputs.
  • Collaborate with design disciplines to define and embed sustainability interventions meeting certification credits.
  • Apply PAS 2080:2023, RICS WLCA (2nd ed.), and similar principles for whole-life carbon management and reporting.
  • Review design drawings, material requirements, specifications, and contractual sustainability documents.
  • Prepare documentation supporting project sustainability KPIs.
  • Prepare sustainability plans, guidelines, procedures, reports, monitoring trackers, energy simulations, and related reports.
  • Document technical notes, methods, and client presentations.
  • Conduct directed and individual research into architectural materials and technology, building services systems, green building and urban policy, and social and human comfort issues.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary sustainability team and collaborate with clients and project teams.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor / Masters level in Engineering, Architecture or Built Environment-related degrees.
  • LEED Accredited Professional.
  • 6-12 years’ experience in building certification, LCA/embodied carbon for AEC/infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in sustainability building and masterplan certifications; knowledge of LEED, Mostadam, WELL, Estidama, and CEEQUAL preferred.
  • Experience developing and implementing sustainability concepts for master planning projects.
  • Experience in building physics modeling, including energy, daylight, comfort, and parametric analysis; hands-on IES-VE experience advantageous.
  • Understanding of energy modelling and ability to interpret modelling results.
  • Life cycle assessment experience advantageous.
  • Skilled in liaising with design disciplines and managing relationships across all project phases.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience managing diverse sustainability aspects of complex design and construction projects, including Net-Zero carbon initiatives.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to communicate results using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and related software and craft compelling presentations and reports.
  • Flexible and open to working with wider Environment and Sustainability disciplines.
  • Ability to work independently and remain solutions focused.
  • Self-motivated, dedicated, proactive, and detail-oriented.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, InDesign, AutoCAD, Rhino, and Grasshopper.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Desirable: Estidama PQP, GSAS CGP, Mostadam AP, or SITES AP accreditations.
  • Desirable: proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, and Rhino.
  • Desirable: LCA using E-tool or similar platforms.
  • Desirable: design-stage commissioning experience, preferably with LEED and relevant professional credentials.
