About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement comprehensive global supply chain strategies aligned with company objectives and international presence
- Lead and manage procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution across multiple sites
- Identify and mitigate global supply chain risks
- Drive continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels globally
- Establish and maintain relationships with worldwide suppliers and vendors
- Negotiate international contracts and agreements
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions
- Develop supplier qualification and audit processes for compliance with international standards and regulations
- Build and lead a high-performing, multicultural supply chain team
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities across global offices
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment
- Set performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations
- Oversee inventory management to optimize stock levels and minimize waste
- Ensure timely and accurate product delivery to customers worldwide
- Implement supply chain best practices, including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Use data analytics and advanced technology for decision-making and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with international regulations, standards, and certifications, including ISO and FDA requirements
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain product quality and reliability
- Develop and implement quality control processes across the global supply chain
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing global operations
- Extensive knowledge of global supply chain best practices, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management
- Experience in the medical device manufacturing industry is highly desirable
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with a global mindset
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement on an international scale
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a global context
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools applicable to international operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a global perspective
- Ability to travel internationally as required
