About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop sophisticated software solutions for customers of national importance
- Perform software development, handle L3 service requests, and resolve software defects
- Further develop VoIP communication systems for emergency call and radio-dispatch solutions
- Work on native and web-based desktop applications for standard IT infrastructures
- Handle tasks within an agile, AI-supported development process
- Provide third-level support in collaboration with customers, users, and suppliers
- Collaborate with colleagues in Zurich, Basel, and Vevey as part of an established, inclusive team
Requirements
What you’ll need- University or higher-education degree in software development or a related field
- At least 4 years of professional experience as a developer
- Strong customer and service orientation
- Analytical approach and proven problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Windows C++ and .NET, or Java and a standard web framework
- Business-fluent German; English is the company language
- Willingness to work extended office hours and participate in 24/7 on-call duty
- Eligibility to undergo the Personnel Security Screening (PSP): Swiss citizenship or a C settlement permit
- Preferred: Knowledge of Windows, Linux, high-availability clusters, Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, SQL, Galera, Python, PHP, shell scripting, VoIP using FreeSWITCH or Asterisk, IP networks, DNS, NTP, DHCP, routing, firewalls, hypervisors, VMware, or Proxmox
- Eagerness to learn, enthusiasm, and openness to new applications, features, and AI technologies
