About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support client and internal project teams for Building and Grounds
- Act as a Maximo System Administrator
- Write and modify Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT) reports
- Troubleshoot Maximo application errors
- Configure Application Designer and cron tasks
- Resolve bugs, conflicts, escalations, and Maximo CMMS deficiencies
- Monitor Maximo CMMS system performance and troubleshoot and resolve problems
- Support and maintain multiple Maximo environments
- Review and analyze business and technical processes and requirements with the Supervisor
- Identify areas for improvement and solve problems through analysis and direct support
- Work with a Logistics Operations Center supporting a diverse customer base
- Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot IBM WebSphere Server
- Manage and tune database structures
- Define, establish, and perform regular database backups
- Plan, design, create, install, customize, upgrade, and maintain databases
- Perform database and software upgrades to new release levels
- Document databases and deployed applications
- Provide training for new users and new application products
- Perform DoD database security technical implementation and documentation for Oracle databases and IBM WebSphere
- Assist clients with Maximo user account issues
- Perform other duties as required
- Report to the Executive Director of Business Applications
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 years’ experience with Maximo 7.5 and/or 7.6
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- SQL, XML, and Java language knowledge
- Hands-on experience with Maximo development tools and applications
- Knowledge of Maximo Application Designer, BIRT, escalations, database configuration, cron-based scheduling, and workflow
- Strong knowledge and experience of Maximo
- Experience documenting processes
- Experience conducting application training for end users
- Strong interpersonal skills to train junior staff and foster collaboration
- Excellent customer service skills with acceptable response times to phone calls, emails, and customer requests
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Expertise working with large integrated applications
- Ability to make sound judgments under supervision
- Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize projects and tasks
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and stressful environment

- Experience with Maximo Enterprise Asset Management CMMS configuration in a Maximo 7.x environment
- Experience with Maximo CMMS system support and performance troubleshooting
- Experience with Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) script automation
- IBM WebSphere Server maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting
