About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Architect, design, develop, and support business solutions leveraging SAP BW 7.5 and SAP BW/4HANA 2021/2023
Demonstrate industry-specific business process knowledge and familiarity with enterprise strategies and objectives
Proactively identify process improvements and define clear, concise solutions
Build and maintain strong working relationships with diverse business, functional, and technical teams
Communicate complex solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders and apply smart design techniques
Plan and execute comprehensive validations across DEV, QA, and UAT environments for the BW/4HANA upgrade
Investigate and remediate upgrade-related issues discovered in lower environments
Coordinate with SAP Support to resolve defects as needed
Prepare detailed test scripts covering data models, ETL/replication, process chains, AO workbooks, authorizations, and scheduling
Record and track test execution and defects in HP ALM or similar tools
Lead or contribute to cutover rehearsals, performance/regression tests, and data reconciliation between BW/4HANA and source/target systems
Provide go/no-go input based on test outcomes and documented risk assessments

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong expertise in SAP BW 7.5
Strong expertise in SAP BW/4HANA 2021/2023
Strong expertise in SAP Datasphere
Strong expertise in SAP Analysis for Office (AO)
10+ years’ experience in SAP BW
Experience in the consumer retail domain preferred
Knowledge of industry-specific business processes
Familiarity with enterprise strategies and objectives
Ability to communicate complex solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders
Experience with testing and validation across DEV/QA/UAT environments
Experience preparing test scripts for data models, ETL/replication, process chains, AO workbooks, authorizations, and scheduling
Experience tracking test execution and defects in tools such as HP ALM
Experience with cutover rehearsals, performance/regression testing, and data reconciliation
Experience coordinating with SAP Support, including OSS notes/service desk
Ability to provide go/no-go input based on test outcomes and risk assessments
