About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Architect, design, develop, and support business solutions leveraging SAP BW 7.5 and SAP BW/4HANA 2021/2023
  • Design scalable and high-performing data warehousing solutions using SAP Datasphere
  • Apply understanding of industry-specific business processes and enterprise objectives
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and provide clear, efficient, and sustainable solutions
  • Build and maintain relationships with business, functional, and technical stakeholders
  • Communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences
  • Apply best practices and smart design techniques to drive solution quality and maintainability
  • Plan and execute validation activities across DEV, QA, and UAT environments for BW/4HANA upgrade projects
  • Investigate and resolve upgrade-related testing issues and coordinate with SAP Support when necessary
  • Prepare test scripts covering data models, ETL/data replication, process chains, AO workbooks, authorizations and security, scheduling, and monitoring
  • Record, track, and manage test execution results and defects in HP ALM
  • Lead or support cutover rehearsals, performance testing, regression testing, and data reconciliation
  • Provide go/no-go recommendations based on testing outcomes, risk assessments, and system readiness

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of experience in SAP BW
  • Experience in the Consumer Retail domain preferred
  • SAP BW 7.5
  • SAP BW/4HANA 2021/2023
  • SAP Datasphere
  • SAP Analysis for Office (AO)
  • Data modeling, ETL, and reporting solutions
  • Performance optimization and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience with SAP BW/4HANA upgrades and migrations
  • Experience with SAP Datasphere integration and modern SAP data architectures
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience working in large enterprise environments
