About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Embed and maintain a culture of Financial Crime Risk awareness throughout the Atos BPS business account
  • Contribute to the development of the financial crime risk management operating model, projects, systems, and processes
  • Provide support and leadership across teams based primarily at the Lytham sites
  • Act as a subject matter expert for financial crime advice, guidance, and direction
  • Oversee and challenge the embedded Financial Crime framework, tools, and mechanisms
  • Advise and support projects and systems developments on financial crime risk, processes, and control techniques
  • Ensure regulatory AML compliance and effective fraud risk management
  • Contribute to Financial Crime strategy assessment and development for relevant business units
  • Provide advice, guidance, and effective reporting on Financial Crime policy and practice
  • Provide financial crime advice and analysis for business initiatives, bespoke projects, transactions, and investigations
  • Identify potential or actual financial crime risks and ensure escalation, remediation, and mitigation
  • Provide leadership and advice to other financial crime team members within Atos BTS
  • Report through a matrix structure to the Financial Crime Director (MLRO), Senior Financial Crime Manager (NO), and Risk & Assurance Director
  • Engage with senior Atos and customer management teams, the Customer Risk team, suppliers, auditors, industry bodies, and expert groups

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in a regulated industry, preferably Life & Pensions
  • Knowledge of financial crime policy, legislation, and regulations, including JMLSG, Counter Terrorist Financing, and Proceeds of Crime legislation
  • Pragmatic approach to problem solving and decision making within a regulatory framework
  • Commercial awareness, outsourcing, and client engagement experience
  • Business Process Services experience
  • Experience handling multiple complex projects
  • Strong experience in a financial crime management and/or oversight role
  • Ability to manage and influence business stakeholders
  • Experience of the financial crime regulatory environment and frameworks
  • Background in financial services, preferably including Life & Pensions business
  • Good knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations and financial crime risk management processes, systems, and management techniques
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the Risk operating environment, associated policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills
  • Proven organisational and planning skills
  • Eligibility for SC clearance is essential
