About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and develop enhancements for Eclipse (IDz) plugins
Build graphical user interfaces within the Eclipse environment
Contribute to the architecture and technical design of solutions
Write detailed feature specifications
Develop, test, and maintain Java applications
Design and execute unit tests
Understand the practices and needs of COBOL developers in order to improve their experience
Qualify and validate the tools provided to teams
Participate in Level 2 and Level 3 user support
Analyze and resolve technical incidents

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience in Java development
Strong knowledge of Java 21
Strong knowledge of the Collections API
Strong knowledge of Maven
Strong knowledge of JUnit and unit testing
Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns
Strong object-oriented modeling skills
Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues
Ability to write technical specifications
End-to-end software development experience
Meticulous and well-organized
Self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative
Strong analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Enjoys working as part of a team
Knowledge of Eclipse / IDz and Git
Preferred skills: Eclipse framework (SWT, Jobs, etc.), advanced Git management, continuous integration (CI/CD), COBOL, SQL Server, C# / .NET, DevBooster framework
