About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage complex capital improvement technology projects from inception to completion.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, deliverables, communication plans, risk logs, issue logs, status reports, and performance metrics.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects and ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
- Analyze, resolve, track, document, and communicate project issues.
- Drive clinical process improvement and healthcare redesign in collaboration with clinical and operational teams.
- Support hospital-based services in achieving performance targets by reviewing performance data and trends.
- Maintain and communicate performance dashboards.
- Engage clinic leadership to promote patient-centered care through training in data use and process improvement.
- Ensure effective communication, adequate training, and proper documentation across projects.
- Collaborate with clinical subject matter experts, managers, supervisors, directors, staff clinicians, IS analysts, and vendors.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of three (3) years of full-time paid work experience in healthcare administration or project management.
- Minimum of two (2) years of full-time paid work experience utilizing MS Project or a comparable project management tool.
- Familiarity with Cerner technology is preferred.
- Master’s degree in public health, Healthcare Policy, or an equivalent degree.
- Certification in Project Management (CAPM).
- Experience with planning and tracking project scope, time, and budget.
- Understanding of project security requirements at each stage of the project cycle.
- Ability to document requirements, designs, communication plans, project plans, project status, and issues effectively.
- Skills to conduct meetings and formal presentations to sponsors, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Proficiency in MS Project or comparable project management tools.
- Capability of leading project teams, including internal employees, vendors, consultants, and combinations thereof.
- Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
