About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own products from “0 to 1,” from problem framing and prototyping through launch and early scale
- Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap
- Translate emerging AI/ML capabilities into customer-valued applications
- Lead customer interviews and lightweight validation experiments
- Use evidence to decide what to build, pivot, or discontinue
- Shape positioning, pricing hypotheses, and early go-to-market motions
- Help land design partners and first customers
- Align engineering, design, research, and commercial partners around a shared plan
- Manage multiple venture bets without formal authority over the team
- Define and measure early-venture metrics including activation, retention, and willingness-to-pay
- Present venture traction, risks, and milestones to leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years in product management
- Hands-on experience taking a product from “0 to 1”
- Track record of shipping products in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Fluency with AI/ML product concepts
- Strong customer-discovery instincts
- Comfort with qualitative and quantitative validation methods
- Experience influencing and leading cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and research
- Clear, persuasive communication skills
- Early go-to-market experience, including positioning, pricing hypotheses, and landing design partners or customers
- Experience setting and defending early-venture metrics such as activation, retention, and willingness-to-pay
- Strong project management skills
- Bias to action, high tolerance for ambiguity, and sound judgment
- Technical background or degree in a quantitative/engineering field, or comparable hands-on experience with data and AI systems
- Ability to sit for an extended period of time
- Ability to commute into the New York City office on a hybrid schedule
