About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Drive the technical and process development of the IBM MQ, IBM IMS, and IBM Db2 for z/OS mainframe platforms
Shape transformation initiatives, including migrations, modernization, and integration projects involving modern development platforms and cloud technologies
Analyze complex business requirements and develop strategic and operational architecture concepts
Ensure secure, high-performing, and scalable system operations
Support recovery and emergency response processes
Develop measures to ensure business continuity
Lead risk analyses and audits
Serve as the central point of contact for technical and regulatory matters
Promote knowledge sharing within the Tribe
Collaborate with Engineers, Squad Owners, and product teams
Evaluate market trends such as automation, cloud integration, and DevOps

Requirements

What you’ll need

University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field, along with more than 6 years of relevant professional experience, or an equivalent qualification
Experience leading cross-functional projects or subprojects
Several years of experience in a mainframe environment as an IT Architect, Solution Architect, or in a comparable role
Ideally, knowledge of IT governance, IT risk management, and IT compliance
Business-fluent German, at least C1 level
Good command of English, B2 level
Strong communication and collaboration skills
High willingness to learn and a strong commitment to quality
Confident working in an agile environment
A résumé/CV and relevant employment certificates are required with the application
