About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advise students on financial aid options, FAFSA requirements, grants, scholarships, and student loans.
- Prepare financial estimates covering available funding, out-of-pocket costs, and payment plans.
- Contact students to collect documents, resolve outstanding requirements, and meet deadlines.
- Review financial aid information and maintain complete, organized, and confidential student files.
- Apply financial aid regulations and institutional policies in advising and documentation.
- Collaborate with admissions and student services to support enrollment and address student needs.
- Present financial aid information at orientations and participate in school events.
- Support students through phone calls, email, and virtual appointments while managing an assigned caseload.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of professional experience in financial aid or finance.
- Strong problem-solving and active listening skills.
- Exceptional organizational ability and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently and in a team setting.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Student-focused approach with a commitment to service excellence.
