About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support planning and coordination of site stewardship projects, tasks and milestones
- Support development and maintenance of project schedules, work plans, action item lists and task trackers
- Coordinate with internal organizations, subject matter experts, field personnel and management to support program and project execution
- Identify schedule conflicts, resource needs and project risks, and elevate issues to management as appropriate
- Support land use planning, land access coordination, land status tracking, property stewardship and institutional control implementation
- Compile, organize and validate land management data, maps, files and related documentation
- Coordinate program interfaces with real property, environmental compliance, cultural/ecological resources, site planning and other organizations
- Support implementation of site stewardship program requirements, procedures and management expectations
- Track project performance against established schedules and milestones
- Develop and maintain performance metrics, dashboards and status indicators for management use
- Identify potential delays or barriers to progress and communicate concerns to project leadership
- Work in office, government and approved remote environments, with possible work at secure government facilities, periodic travel, schedule flexibility and availability outside normal business hours based on mission and contract needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor of Science degree in related fields such as natural resources, environmental science and environmental management
- 10 years of related experience in land management, land use planning, long-term stewardship, environmental governance and regulatory strategy or related fields
- US citizenship required
- Working-level knowledge of Hanford Site mission, land development policies, procedures and activities
- Extensive experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and/or other Microsoft Office tools
- Master's degree in related fields such as natural resources, environmental science and environmental management preferred
- Experience with stakeholder and tribal engagement and federal and state agency partnerships preferred
- Proven experience in Hanford-related land management, long-term stewardship and real estate functions preferred
- Familiarity with compliance requirements relative to DOE, EPA, FAA, Washington State Department of Health and other interface agencies preferred
- Ability to interface successfully with senior-level management preferred
- Ability to work with government, regulatory agencies and contractor personnel to solve problems and formulate strategies preferred
- Working-level knowledge of DOE program and project management practices, policies and procedures preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills preferred
