About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the teams responsible for Attentive’s cloud infrastructure, centralized data platforms, and database infrastructure
- Own the technical direction and operational health of the platform foundation
- Set technical strategy and roadmaps across multiple teams
- Define performance standards, hold teams accountable, and build proactive engineering practices
- Hire, coach, and develop engineering managers and senior technical leaders
- Establish priorities, commitments, and operating practices balancing roadmap and production responsibilities
- Partner with Developer Experience teams on reusable infrastructure components, interfaces, and self-service workflows
- Enable reproducible environments, realistic dependency testing, and fast feedback with access and cost controls
- Improve observability, incident response, service objectives, disaster recovery, and safe change management
- Lead infrastructure and database migrations with rollout, validation, and recovery plans
- Improve visibility and efficiency of AWS and data platform costs through architecture, capacity planning, and vendor management
- Guide complex design decisions and resolve difficult production problems
- Measure outcomes including environment setup speed, feedback cycles, manual interventions, reliability, and infrastructure economics
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience leading a high-performing engineering organization
- Strong management, accountability, technical judgment, and consistent delivery experience
- Deep technical leadership experience
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, centralized data platforms, and database infrastructure
- Experience with Snowflake and related storage systems
- Experience with AWS compute, networking, cloud services, and infrastructure-as-code
- Experience with infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operations at scale
- Experience driving cloud and software cost optimization
- Experience hiring, coaching, and developing engineering managers and senior technical leaders
- Experience with observability, incident response, service objectives, disaster recovery, and safe change management
- Experience leading complex infrastructure and database migrations
- Experience with architecture, capacity planning, and vendor management
