About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build robust, executive-facing dashboards to support key business and operational decisions
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data models, semantic layers, and reporting datasets using dbt, Looker, SQL, and related tools
- Use data modeling, statistics, and analytical techniques to analyze large datasets and identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Develop and manage the Looker data analytics platform
- Own end-to-end delivery of analytics engineering initiatives, from requirements gathering through implementation
- Manage timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communication
- Partner with product, engineering, business intelligence, finance, operations, and other stakeholders on metrics, analytics requirements, reporting solutions, and data quality
- Identify and resolve data quality issues through validation checks and analytics process/tooling improvements
- Create and maintain documentation for metrics, data models, dashboards, business logic, and analytics workflows
- Mentor junior analytics engineers, contribute to code reviews, and improve team standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Data Science, or a related field
- 4 years of professional experience as a Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or data analytics/business intelligence professional involving data analysis, data modeling, reporting, and dashboards
- 4 years of professional experience writing, optimizing, and using SQL queries to analyze large datasets and support reporting and analytics
- 4 years of professional experience designing, building, and maintaining business intelligence dashboards and reports using Looker or Tableau
- 4 years of professional experience performing data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in large datasets and support business decision-making
- 4 years of professional experience developing dashboards or reports to support business and operational decision-making
- 3 years of professional experience designing and maintaining data models to support analytics and reporting
- 2 years of professional experience working with data infrastructure components, including ETL/ELT processes and analytics platforms
- 2 years of professional experience collaborating with product and engineering teams to define analytics requirements and reporting solutions
- 2 years of professional experience presenting analytical findings to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
