About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own full-stack data collection across the JavaScript tag, Cloudflare Workers, and Java backend services
  • Extend Cloudflare Workers infrastructure for tag serving, A/B configuration, agentic systems, and data analysis
  • Build agentic AI systems to identify, diagnose, and fix customer data-collection gaps
  • Improve event ingestion services to receive, validate, and route events reliably and observably
  • Write technical proposals and run design reviews
  • Mentor teammates and help lead technical direction on a small autonomous team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Experience working across multiple layers of a system
  • Backend experience with Java, Kotlin, or a similar typed language
  • Experience with API design, data modeling, and testing
  • JavaScript/TypeScript experience, including browser runtime behavior, async patterns, and production performance
  • Experience with edge compute or serverless runtimes, or ability to ramp quickly
  • Experience leading projects from scoping through shipping
  • Strong debugging across service boundaries
  • Active use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex
  • Willingness to work across unfamiliar parts of the stack
