About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Complete psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and ongoing medication management by video
Treat adults, children, and adolescents for mood, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, serious mental illness, and co-occurring conditions
Assess risk at every visit and coordinate with the clinical team on crisis needs
Document in InSync EHR with e-prescribing (EPCS)
Handle refills and prior authorizations within 2 business days
Join virtual treatment team and case consultation meetings
Provide patient-centered care using plain-language explanations, patience, and warmth

Requirements

What you’ll need

Maryland CRNP-PMH certification
Active national PMHNP board certification (ANCC or AANP)
Active Maryland DEA registration
Active Maryland CDS registration
Registered with the Maryland PDMP (CRISP), or willing to register before start date
At least 2 years of psychiatric prescribing experience; new graduates with an identified Maryland mentor will be considered
Professional liability insurance of $1M per claim / $3M aggregate
Private, HIPAA-compliant workspace
Reliable high-speed internet
Enrolled with Maryland Medicaid, or willing to enroll
Must hold a Maryland license
Child and adolescent experience preferred
Experience in community mental health, Medicaid, or psychiatric rehabilitation settings preferred
Experience with InSync or a similar EHR preferred
Bilingual ability, especially Spanish, preferred
