About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Teach courses as directed by the program chair
  • Become familiar with program outcomes and course materials
  • Complete training in Blackboard, TCSG curricular standards, and program goals
  • Implement instruction to meet TCSG curricular competencies based on the approved syllabus
  • Administer and grade class examinations
  • Maintain current and accurate student records
  • Submit grades, reports, and forms within requested timelines
  • Evaluate students’ progress toward course goals and objectives
  • Provide periodic student performance appraisals to the program chair and/or full-time faculty
  • Participate in annual review and recommendation of textbooks and learning materials
  • Ensure safety and security requirements in training areas
  • Attend meetings, training, workshops, and seminars as needed
  • Meet with students, staff members, and supervisors as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in Computer Programming, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Technology, or a master’s degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 18 semester graduate hours in the teaching discipline, from an accredited institution
  • Must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the assigned courses
  • Must complete required employee trainings
  • Successful completion of credit and/or all appropriate background checks is required
  • Submit a cover letter, resume/vita, three professional references, and unofficial transcripts
  • Official transcripts required upon an offer of employment
