About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Instruct students in Engineering Technology skill areas under general supervision
  • Follow state standards in developing program and course outlines, goals, and objectives
  • Develop syllabi to meet program and school objectives
  • Evaluate students’ progress toward goals and objectives
  • Request and maintain supplies and equipment and prepare budget requests
  • Maintain program certification requirements
  • Prepare and maintain required documentation and administrative reports
  • Attend staff development training, workshops, seminars, and conferences
  • Ensure safety and security requirements in the training area
  • Respond to administrative requests in a timely manner
  • Meet with students, staff members, and educators regarding instructional programs and student progress
  • Assist with student recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts
  • Contribute to accreditation and assessment reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering/Engineering Technology from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Three (3) years of work experience in a position related to engineering technology
  • Must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the courses assigned
  • Official transcripts required upon an offer of employment
  • Successful completion of appropriate background checks
  • Submit a cover letter, resume/vita, three (3) professional references, and unofficial transcripts
  • General computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Effective written and oral communication
