About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Teach English courses as an adjunct instructor
- Teach at Athens Technical College locations, including area high school and career academy campuses
- Deliver courses using college-approved methods, including face-to-face, online, audio/video, and other modalities
- Maintain course instruction compliant with applicable accrediting-body requirements
- Submit application materials including cover letter, resume/vita, professional references, and unofficial transcripts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree with 18 semester hours in English
- A master’s degree and/or graduate hours in teaching or education does not meet SACSCOC accreditation requirements
- Strong communication skills and work ethic
- Willingness to teach at all Athens Technical College locations
- Willingness to teach Athens Technical College courses on area high school and career academy campuses
- Willingness to teach using all college-approved methods, including face-to-face, online, audio/video, etc.
- Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred
- Experience with online teaching platforms; Blackboard preferred
- Submit a cover letter, resume/vita, three professional references, and unofficial transcripts
- Official transcripts required upon an offer of employment
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of appropriate background checks
- Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the assigned course
