About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Utilize current curriculum and instructional materials to teach the state-approved Cosmetology and/or Nail Technician curriculum
- Foster effective learning in classroom and lab settings
- Evaluate students’ progress toward goals and objectives
- Ensure student learning outcomes are attained and properly recorded
- Prepare and maintain documentation and administrative reports
- Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the classroom and laboratory
- Retain students who enroll in the program through graduation
- Assist with placement of program graduates
- Maintain good rapport with business, industry, and the public sector
- Teach in an on-campus classroom/lab environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Nail Technician and/or Master Cosmetology program from an accredited private or postsecondary teaching institute
- Active Georgia Master Cosmetologist and/or Nail Technician license in good standing
- Three years full-time, paid work experience within the past seven years
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, and Saturdays
- Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the assigned course
- Candidates must pass a criminal background check

- Include annual salary for each position held
- Male applicants between ages 18 and 26 must present proof of Selective Service Registration
- May be required to submit a valid Driver’s License, proof of insurability, and/or driver’s history report for positions involving state travel
