About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Instruct students
- Develop program syllabi, goals, and objectives
- Evaluate students’ progress toward goals and objectives
- Ensure student learning outcomes are attained and appropriately recorded
- Request and maintain supplies and equipment
- Maintain program certification requirements, as appropriate
- Prepare and maintain required documentation and administrative reports
- Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments through staff development training, workshops, seminars, and conferences
- Ensure classroom safety and security requirements are met
- Provide academic advisement to students
- Meet with students, staff members, and other educators regarding instructional programs and issues affecting student progress
- Work a flexible schedule of lecture, student advisement, and registration
- Work split teaching shifts and potentially split teaching days between campus locations
- Maintain an acceptable number of students in the program
- Maximize student placements by working with local employers and the Department of Labor
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master's of Art or Master's of Science degree in Psychology, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Psychology courses from a regionally accredited institution
- One year of paid teaching experience
- Excellent human-relations and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated skills in usage of Microsoft Office Suite
- Candidates must pass a criminal background check

- May be required to submit a valid driver's license, proof of insurability, and/or a driver's history report for positions involving state travel
