About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct outreach to Migrant and/or Seasonal Farm Workers who are not accessing WorkSource Georgia services
- Provide career development, assessment, job-training assistance, and employment-related services
- Work with agricultural employers to obtain referrals, secure job placements, and provide H-2A program information
- Interview applicants in Spanish and English and explain program services and activities
- Develop and facilitate job-readiness and job-search workshops and presentations
- Maintain relationships with local employers and community partners
- Evaluate applications and determine program eligibility; refer applicants to support services
- Counsel applicants regarding abilities, interests, values, career goals, and job opportunities
- Match applicant skills to vacancies and provide job referrals
- Conduct MSFW outreach and onsite agricultural field visits, including observing workers and verifying Temporary Worker Housing facilities
- Assist with Employment Services in an American Job Center and complete required training
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university OR high school diploma or GED and two years of related experience
- Knowledge of the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) and related Wagner-Peyser (WP) Act
- Bilingual/Spanish speaking
- Experience with delivery of Employment Services
- Experience delivering presentations in groups
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations
- Time and task management skills
- Basic computer skills and ability to adapt to job-related software programs
- Organizational skills

- Superior oral and written communication skills
