About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Communicate with faculty, staff, and students about Counseling Services and the Behavioral Intervention Team through presentations and programming
  • Oversee counseling referrals to community partners
  • Promote, administer, and monitor utilization of a student wellness platform
  • Provide student crisis intervention in partnership with the student wellness platform, Campus Safety, and community crisis resources
  • Develop, implement, and monitor annual budgets
  • Ensure accuracy of information on the college website
  • Develop annual goals and objectives for the counseling department with measurable outcomes
  • Review and recommend annual changes to college catalog sections covering counseling and intervention services
  • Conduct regular evaluations of services
  • Develop and coordinate alcohol and drug prevention programs and events
  • Coordinate and plan student support programming
  • Chair the College’s Behavioral Intervention Team and facilitate team-based intervention and safety planning for students experiencing crisis or safety concerns
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, educational administration, vocational leadership, or a closely related field
  • Two (2) years of work experience in a related field
  • Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
  • Successful completion of appropriate background checks
  • Submit a cover letter, resume/vita, three professional references, and unofficial transcripts
  • Official transcripts required upon an offer of employment
