About the role

  • Assist outpatient evaluation teams and inpatient forensic hospitals with forensic evaluations
  • Float within assigned sections of Georgia
  • Complete juvenile forensic evaluations, including competency and waiver evaluations, as assigned
  • Travel regularly to various areas of Georgia
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited college or university
  • Current Georgia license to practice psychology; license may be temporary, provisional, or permanent
  • One year of experience at the lower-level Psychologist 1 (HCP140) or equivalent
  • Knowledge of abnormal psychology, developmental psychology, pertinent statutes and case law related to forensic psychology, malingering assessment tools, intellectual testing, personality assessment, mental health treatment best practices, and ethical/professional guidelines
  • Completion of the state's Competency to Stand Trial Certification process within one year of hire is required for continued employment
  • Ability to complete required national and state background checks
  • Ability to meet required evaluations, vaccinations, professional licensure, and certifications
  • Current licenses enabling practice within the State of Georgia
