About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the statewide liaison and intensive services coordinator for the Georgia Jobs for Veterans State Grant (JVSG) Program
  • Facilitate collaboration with federal, state, and community partners serving veterans
  • Establish, coordinate, and manage referral pathways between JVSG and partner programs
  • Receive, review, and coordinate referrals for eligible veterans, eligible spouses, and other eligible persons
  • Ensure timely connection to JVSG services and appropriate assignment to Disabled Veterans’ Outreach Program Specialists
  • Serve as the primary liaison for partner agencies and bridge service gaps
  • Coordinate with Career Center leadership, DVOP Specialists, and partner agencies on individualized service strategies
  • Provide technical assistance, guidance, and training to JVSG staff and partner organizations
  • Monitor participant progress and outcomes and ensure effective case coordination
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers, workforce professionals, educational institutions, community organizations, veteran service organizations, and other agencies
  • Assist with statewide outreach and partnership development initiatives
  • Conduct monitoring, presentations, technical assistance visits, and training sessions
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, referral tracking systems, and documentation in accordance with federal and state requirements
  • Perform other duties supporting the JVSG Program and statewide veteran service delivery initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university; OR Associate’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and two years of related experience; OR four years of related experience; OR two years of experience at the lower-level Employment Services Specialist or position equivalent
  • Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
  • Qualified veteran preference; DD-214 required for documentation
  • Minimum of two years of experience serving special needs populations with Qualifying Barriers to Employment and delivering Case Management services (preferred)
  • One year of experience leading/facilitating groups and conducting monitoring reviews or workforce-related programs (preferred)
  • Experience collaborating with workforce development programs, vocational rehabilitation programs, or veteran-serving organizations (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook
  • Organizational, time, and task management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to quickly adapt to job-related software programs
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Interpersonal relations and customer service skills
