About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide instruction in the theory and practical applications of marketing according to academic state standards
  • Instruct courses in classroom, lab, field, and online environments that simulate industry settings
  • Prepare course syllabi using the provided template
  • Use current technology in the classroom/lab
  • Evaluate student progress and grade coursework in a timely manner
  • Ensure safety and security requirements are met
  • Meet with students, staff, and educators regarding instructional programs and related issues
  • Prepare and maintain required documentation and administrative reports
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the discipline
  • Establish, measure, and evaluate student learning outcomes with faculty
  • Support the Program Director and Division Dean/Associate Dean
  • Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts
  • Request and maintain supplies and equipment
  • Travel to other campuses for meetings, trainings, and professional development as required
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in Marketing or a related discipline (Advertising, E-Business/E-Commerce, Entrepreneurship, or Social Media Marketing)
  • Minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline from an accredited institution
  • Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the assigned course
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Knowledge of postsecondary technical education, academic course standards, and the College’s academic programs
  • Skill in classroom/lab content delivery and operation of computers and job-related software
  • Decision-making, problem-solving, accurate grade-keeping, interpersonal relations, and public-facing skills
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to respond to all emails and requests within 24 hours Monday–Thursday and within 48 hours Friday–Sunday
  • PhD in teaching discipline preferred
  • Postsecondary teaching experience preferred
  • Directly related industry experience preferred
  • Online teaching experience preferred
