About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, including physical examinations, medical history reviews, and diagnostic testing
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic procedures
- Manage and monitor patient health, including vital signs, medication adherence, and progress toward treatment goals
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, therapists, and support staff
- Provide preventive care, health education, and counseling to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide emergency medical coverage
- Adhere to State of Georgia policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines
- Engage in continuous professional development
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia
- Board Certification in a relevant primary care specialty (e.g., Internal Medicine, Family Medicine) or other appropriate specialty
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience post-residency, preferably in a residential, long-term care, or primary care setting
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and empathy skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
