About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide professional nursing care according to nurse protocols, policies, and procedures

  • Participate in individual, team, and organizational learning opportunities
  • Support the Perinatal Home Visiting Program at Fayette County Health Department

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university
  • Two years of nursing experience
  • Completion of a PHN course within one year of hire
  • Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license
  • CPR certification
  • OR two years of experience at the lower-level PH Registered Nurse 2 (HCP191)
  • Public Health Nursing Experience preferred
  • Residents preferred for Emergency Preparedness Planning for the Health Department
  • Criminal Background Check/Fingerprinting
  • Pre-employment Drug Screening
  • Reference Checks and Immunizations Required
  • Must participate in emergency response assignments, including shelters, SPOC sites, and/or POD sites, when called
