About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Civil & Structural division and establish Civil Engineering practices
- Perform or initiate conceptual, basic design and detail design calculations and drawings
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, method statements and project documentation
- Attend site meetings and coordinate designs with clients, consultants, authorities and contractors
- Provide technical knowledge during tendering and project procurement
- Liaise between subcontractors and the site, mainly on civil works
- Ensure compliance with project design criteria, client brief, approved concept, relevant design standards and office standards
- Perform other duties assigned by the superior or team leader
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Registered with BEM is mandatory
- Minimum 3–5 years working experience in an engineering consulting firm
- Experience in infrastructural design for earthworks, road & drainage, water and sewerage
- Able to work independently and under pressure with minimum supervision
- Familiar with popular design software and analysing results from technical software
- Working knowledge in Civil 3D would be an added advantage
- Good communication skills in spoken and written English
