About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide strategic leadership and direction for Aurecon’s Process Safety Assurance offering
- Shape the continued growth and future direction of the national practice
- Build trusted relationships with senior clients and identify, shape, and convert new opportunities
- Lead and grow a collaborative, nationally connected team
- Mentor team members and provide direction and development opportunities
- Oversee complex client engagements and projects
- Assemble the right multidisciplinary capability to deliver strong client outcomes
- Help clients address safety, risk, assurance, and compliance challenges
- Lead winning strategies, proposals, and client conversations across high-hazard operating environments
- Collaborate across Aurecon to connect Process Safety Assurance capabilities with opportunities across sectors, geographies, and disciplines
- Strengthen Aurecon’s market presence and contribute to growth of the Asset Performance and Assurance business
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant leadership experience within consulting, engineering, advisory, or high-hazard industries
- Demonstrated ability to build senior client relationships, develop opportunities, and win work
- Strong professional network and market knowledge
- Understanding of safety, risk, assurance, and compliance in high-hazard industries
- Understanding of safety across the asset lifecycle, from front-end design through operations and decommissioning
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing people
- Strong commercial and consulting acumen
- Credibility and confidence engaging with senior clients and providing strategic direction
- Experience overseeing complex projects or portfolios and coordinating multidisciplinary expertise
- Strong communication, influencing, and collaboration skills
- Experience across high-hazard sectors such as oil and gas, power, resources, chemicals, petrochemicals, water, renewables, nuclear, or infrastructure highly regarded
- Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, science, risk, safety, or a related discipline
