About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Process Safety Assurance offering
- Build trusted relationships with senior clients and identify, shape and convert new opportunities
- Lead and grow a collaborative, nationally connected team
- Oversee complex client engagements and projects
- Help clients address safety, risk, assurance and compliance challenges
- Lead winning strategies, proposals and client conversations across high-hazard and complex operating environments
- Collaborate across Aurecon to connect Process Safety Assurance capabilities with opportunities across sectors, geographies and disciplines
- Strengthen Aurecon’s market presence and contribute to growth of the Asset Performance and Assurance business
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant leadership experience within consulting, engineering and/or advisory industry or directly within high-hazard industry
- Demonstrated ability to build senior client relationships, develop opportunities and win work, supported by a strong professional network
- Sound understanding of how high-hazard industries manage safety, risk, assurance and compliance
- Appreciation of safety across the whole asset lifecycle, from front end design to operations and decommissioning
- Experience leading, mentoring and developing people
- Strong commercial and consulting acumen
- Credibility and confidence to engage with senior clients and provide strategic direction
- Experience overseeing complex projects or portfolios and coordinating multidisciplinary expertise
- Strong communication, influencing and collaboration skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, science, risk, safety or a related discipline
- Experience across oil and gas, power, resources, chemicals, petrochemicals, water, renewables, nuclear, infrastructure or other high-hazard environments highly regarded
